OUR STORY
Her Pretty Things is owned & operated by Jennifer Pratt in her hometown of Lodi, California. In 2014 she started this business as a side hustle to make ends meet as a single mom. Already working two jobs, she needed a way to bring in an additional income. Working at a bead shop at the time, she had learned new skills that helped her launch HPT. It all started with custom wire necklaces and stud earrings.
Shortly after starting her jewelry business, the store she managed closed. She believed God was calling her to something different but she had no idea it would take her overseas. Partnering with a local non-profit, she went to Roatan, Honduras in 2015 to share her gift of jewelry making to the women of the small tourist island. In hopes that this skill would empower them & help the women become financially independent. Her heart is for missions and empowering women both locally & abroad. She is hoping to return to Roatan or wherever God sends her soon.
Now, almost 6 years later after starting Her Pretty Things, Jennifer is able to pursue her passion for jewelry with empowering messages as a career and enjoy more family time.
In the Summer of 2018, Jennifer opened a beautiful brick & mortar artisan shop in Downtown Lodi, the LOCAL COLLECTIVE. TLC is home to an ever-changing and ever-growing selection of local artisan goods.
You can find Jennifer at her bench most days, creating new & unique designs that are not only fashion forward but speak inspiring words.
